Georgetown Harborwalk

The reason I love Georgetown isn't its history or its beautiful homes or the views from the waterfront. I love Georgetown because it reminds me of Dawson's Creek

Yeah, you read that right.

My mother lives about 20 minutes away from Georgetown, but I'm always up for a drive into the quaint, waterside town. I love grabbing a cup of coffee and heading to the Harborwalk to look at all the sailboats, thinking maybe Pacey Witter will stroll up and ask me to sail away with him for a summer. And...I'm not even really into boats. But, for Pacey, anything.

I've been soaking up every moment of being back in the Southern U.S. while it lasts. Listening to the accents, reading all the historic plaques on every street, taking way too many photos of cotton fields, and road-tripping to all the nearby towns and cities that I can, while I can. Being here, like everything else, is not permanent, so I'm taking full advantage of all the sweet tea and warm sunsets.

Also, I've been taking advantage of what the sea salt air has been doing to my hair here {that messy, disheveled mane look is perfected thanks to the climate}.

Off to re-watch season 4 of Dawson's Creek. Because the year may have changed, but I am exactly the same.
